Using Advanced Product Descriptions on Online Store 2.0 Themes

In August 2021 Shopify released its new online store 2.0 framework. With this new framework adding the advanced descriptions snippet is easier than ever.

You may follow these steps to start using  Advanced Product Descriptions on online store 2.0 themes;

First, navigate your way to Online Store > Themes > Customize Theme from the Shopify admin dashboard.

Once the editor loads select the product template from the Page dropdown selector.

The last step is to add the advanced description block to your theme and we have two options for that.

First is through Advanced Description - This block will display the advanced description and nothing else.

The second is Advanced Desc + Fallback - This option will display the advanced description if one exists and otherwise display the standard Shopify description.

When done, don't forget to save and then test your advanced descriptions.
